Sharing the joy of children’s books

Dear Zoo

0

This was one of the first books I ever bought my niece and I can assure you it instantly became a favourite.

Originally published back in 1982, Dear Zoo continues to entertain young babies and toddlers. This book helps develop hand-eye co-ordination as it includes ‘lift the flap’ options on each page.

It also teaches toddlers the different kinds of animals as under every flap there is a different animal who lives in the zoo. This was something that fascinated my niece.

The repetition in the text allows the child to become involved in the storytelling. As they grow, they become more and more involved with the book as they learn to lift the flaps themselves and repeat the story aloud.

Dear Zoo is likely to become a rather worn (yet loved) book in your child’s collection. It’s no wonder this delightful book has sold over 2 million (yes, million) copies!
